My strong suit is|

I own the decisions that are expensive to reverse, and the engineers who build on top of them.

Fifteen years of decisions that had to hold

I am the front-end architect for a document-heavy financial platform. I set technical direction, own the decisions that are expensive to reverse, and remain accountable for whether the system still adapts when the business changes direction.

In practice, that means the work nobody notices until it breaks: grids that stay responsive with tens of thousands of rows, SSR and session infrastructure that must be correct on the server before the browser paints anything, dependency injection and memory behavior under real load, monorepo and build strategy, and the lint rules that keep a large codebase honest.

I have taken platforms through the migrations most teams keep postponing: framework rewrites measured in thousands of files, state layers replaced without freezing delivery, and build pipelines rebuilt from the ground up. The hard part is rarely the code. It is sequencing the change so the team keeps shipping while it happens.

The other half of architecture is people. I write the architecture decision records, run code reviews and technical one-to-ones, hire and onboard, and prepare performance evaluations, because a decision only holds if the team understands it well enough to defend it without me.

I started on the back end in 2011 with PHP, Laravel, and SQL. Fifteen years later, that grounding is still why I am comfortable when a front-end problem turns out to be a server problem.

Where I add leverage
  • Setting technical direction and writing the architecture decision records behind it
  • Technical one-to-ones, mentoring, and a front-end sync and DevTalks format
  • Hiring: screening, interviews, and onboarding
  • Performance review preparation and evaluation
  • Scaled-agile planning and cross-team enablement
  • Structured onboarding program and materials
  • Daily code review and on-duty rotation

JSON-RPC Chrome Viewer

A DevTools panel that makes JSON-RPC traffic readable.

A Manifest V3 Chrome DevTools extension that captures JSON-RPC calls over HTTP and WebSockets, splits batches into one row per call, and pairs each request with its response. It adds a waterfall column with a per-phase timing breakdown, search across methods, params and results, sortable and reorderable columns, one-click conversion of a response into TypeScript types, and an interceptor that mocks a response by method glob without touching the network. I built it because debugging JSON-RPC in the Network tab means reading one opaque POST body after another.

What the people I have worked with say

Excerpts from LinkedIn recommendations by managers, product owners and engineers.

Vladimir's most challenging task was to create a fast and reliable backend for all real-time statistical informers and charts for the whole website. As PM of the project, I must admit that it was one of the best joint experiences ever in my practice! Vladimir demonstrated best qualities which high qualified developer can have. Competence, knowledge of modern web technologies and best ways of their implementation and combination, creativity and bright ideas even in performing of routine tasks.

Alexander PishvanovBackend Java DeveloperWorked on the same team

Worked with Vladimir closely for around a year. He showed outstanding FE development skills, is extremely attentive to details, self-organizing, excellent team player. Would be happy to work with Vladimir again.

Valeriya KarpenkoDelivery Lead, Technical Project ManagerWas my manager

During this time he was my curator. Vladimir is a strong responsible, self-motivated, skilled and hardworking person. He can perfectly work as in team as alone and he always reaches the best result in a short possible time. The most strong Vladimir's side is that he can fast sort out any unknown programming language or technology if it's needed.

Pavel NedzelskiyMentor JS / React · ArchitectWorked on the same team

What I like about working with Vladimir is that his overall contribution to projects goes beyond his area of specialization. He is always looking to push the boundaries of design to the limit, while staying within the brief provided, and I look forward to and value his inputs at all stages of project development. His understanding of the nuances of programming ensures that whatever is designed is easy to translate by the tech team.

Building something that has to last?

If you are weighing an architecture decision, planning a migration your team is quietly afraid of, or trying to make a large front-end codebase manageable again, I would be glad to talk.
